Thrikkodithanam Vaishnava Maha Temple

Kudakkachira Mahavishnu Temple

Kudakkachira Mahavishnu Temple is located 10Km away from Pala in Uzhavoor route. This temple is managed by Sree Krishna Trust. Mahavishnu is the main diety. Mahalakshmi and Bhumi Devi are also there in the Sreekovil. Palppayasam and Appam are the main vazhipadu. Ashtamirohini, Vishu, Thiruvonam and Thursdays are the important days.



Kurichithanam Poothrukkovil Mahavishnu Temple

Located 5Km away from Uzhavoor. Kurichithanam Poothrukkovil Mahavishnu Temple is managed by seven Namboothiri illams (Pazhayidathu Mana, Madathil Mana, Kakkarupilli Mana, Puthu Mana, Talayattupilli Mana, Kanjirakkadu Mana and Kanjirakkadu Kizhakkedathu Mana) and was built in between 1100-1300 A.D. The Mahavishnu idol was installed by Vilwamangalathu Swamiyar. Swami Vivekananda offered prayers at this temple during his Kerala visit. Ganapathy and Yakshi are the upadevas. The first and tenty fifth Akhila Bharatha Bhagavatha Sathram were held in this temple. The seven day annual utsavam is in Vrischikam (November-December). This festival is famous as Ekadasi Utsavam. Karkkidaka vavu, Vinayaka Chathurthi, Ashtamirohini and Navarathri are the other important days. Palppayasam is the main vazhipadu.



Midayikkunnam Pundareekapuram Mahavishnu Temple

Pundareekapuram Mahavishnu Temple is located near Vettikkattumukku in Kottayam-Ernakulam route. Pundareekapuram Temple is situated on top of a small hill called Midayikunnam, near Thalayolaparambu. This Temple is managed by Velimamkovil illam and was built in between 1300-1500 A.D. This temple is famous for its Chuvarchitrams(murals) like Sree Rama Pattabhishekam, Sree Krishna Leela and Ganapathy Prathal. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple is exquisitely garnished with beautiful murals depicting scenes from the Hindu epics and puranas. The paintings also illustrate the frolics of Lord Krishna. Garudoparistitha Sathyabhama sahitha Mahavishnu (Lord Vishnu and Satyabhama mounted on Garuda) is the Prathishta in this temple and this idol is unique in all aspects. Thiruvonam in Medam (April-May), Pooyam in Mithunam (June-July), Ashtamirohini are celebrated here. Malarppara, Ushappayasam, Kadumpayasam and Palppayasam are the main offerings. A Sarppakkavu and Subrahmanya Prathishta are also there.



Udayanapuram Pithrukunnamam Mahavishnu Temple

Located at Pithrukunnamam junction in Vaikom-Ernakulam route. Udayanapuram Pithrukunnamam Mahavishnu Temple is managed by Narayananelloor illam. This temple is famous for Pithru Karmas and hence on Karkkidaka Vavu (in July/August) special pujas like Thila Homam, Sahasranamarchana, and Vavoottu are done. Utsavam is celebrated on Ashtamirohini day (August/September).
